Kampala, Uganda | NTV UGANDA | Bankers and Business captains attending the annual bankers conference held at the Kampala Serena conference center on Wednesday July 19, 2017, observed that digital financial services possess the silver bullet that has the potential to unlock the dwindling bank deposits and encourage more lending to majority of the unbanked population in Uganda.
Bank of Uganda governor Tumusiime Mutebile while addressing bankers at the conference expressed fears that any attempt to put a cap on commercial interest rates could slow down private sector credit.
