VIDEO: Government rejects shs.2 billion payment to Karuma Dam engineers
Kampala, Uganda | NTV UGANDA | Government has rejected a shs.2b block payment to engineers contracted under the Karuma Hydro-power project.
The payments relating to communication, travel, insurance and other claims were turned down over alleged fictitious claims.
The dispute brings into light the ongoing conflict between the engineering firm hired to supervise a firm carrying out construction of the dam and the contract administrator, Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited.
