Those appointed to the Court of Appeal include; Justice Christopher Madrama, Justice Stephen Musota, Justice Percy Tuhaise and Justice Ezekiel Muhanguzi who recently retired as a High Court judge upon clocking 65 years of age.

Those appointed to the high court include former Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) boss Cornelia Sabiti, Jane Adobo, Paul Gadenya, Richard Wabwire, Joyce Kavuma, Olive Kazaarwe Mukwaya, Musa Sekaana, Alex Ajiji, Tadeo Asiimwe and Emmanuel Baguma.

Museveni fills the vacuum after the Chief Justice Bart Katureebe recently asked the president to appoint more judges if case backlog in courts is to be solved.
