THIS WEEK: When Mushega asked Museveni to retire
Kampala, Uganda | THIS WEEK | On Aug.19, President Museveni attended a wedding reception of Maj. John Kazoora’s son and Amanya Mushega’s daughter in Kirekka,a Kampala Suburb.
While there, Mushega who brought it in a rather jovial way asked the president to retire saying he had a wish since wherever the president goes people ask for all sorts of things from money to jobs and scholarships.
“I also want to ask for something Mr President. I knew you in 1969 when we were university students. We fought together in the bush for liberation of this country. I now ask of u, kindly allow me the opportunity to go to Kololo to witness a President handing over to another President in my life time”.
However, in his speech, Museveni asked bush war fighters in the opposition to return to government so they can achieve ‘what’s pending.’
