But now you’ll be able to take revenge on controlling people who seize control of your Whatsapp group chats and won’t relinquish the reins of power. Whatsapp is rolling out a new update which introduces an option called ‘dismiss as admin’, which lets you effectively demote people who start acting up in collective conversations.
Here’s what the website WABetaInfo said about the change: “In old versions, when an administrator promoted a participant as a new admin, in order to demote it again, it was necessary to directly remove them from the group, adding them again.
“The new option allows an administrator to dismiss another one without removing him from the group.
“If you’re fed up of a mate who’s gotten too big for their boots, just click the afore-mentioned Group Info and press ‘dismiss as admin’. If this isn’t enough punishment, you can also choose to ‘remove from group’ to banish them forever.
